Finding a great wedding photographer should be easy these days since the internet can provide you with a peek into an artists work.  Look for a photographer who’s portfolio is well balanced.  Like doctors and lawyers, some photographers will consider themselves a specialist and you’ll pay for it too.  This may limit the creativity of your photographs if a photographer has never worked as a professional in other types of photography.  Thinking outside the box adds to the creativity of photography so look at the overall body of work and watch for heavily manipulated images.  After all, you want your photos to be special.
