In South Africa there are very good options for car insurance. It is wise not to go without coverage. Car Insurance Types are basically three choices. The first type of car insurance is comprehensive coverage. Just like it sounds, it covers accident expenses, third party car damages, stealing, hijacking, fire, and hail damage. Optionally, there are often coverages for roadside assistance, medical help, and towing. Finance companies require comprehensive coverage. The next coverage is Theft Party, Fire and Theft. This can be purchased exclusively. If somebody steals or hijacks your car, this insurance pays for recovery - as stipulated in the policy. It also covers fire damage. This is only for damages from another party. It is recommended to have this for older vehicles. The last of the main policies if Third Party Only coverage. This will pay for damages to any vehicle you do not own.
