After the Release

09 February 2010

A month ago, my daughter’s first CD came out. She’s in an all-girl band, and they worked really hard on it. The CD is doing really well, the songs are getting airplay on the radio, it’s found on ares, and it’s selling very well in stores. My daughter couldn’t be happier. Now her manager has just told her that her band is about to go on their first nationwide tour. You would think that she would be nervous, but she’s more excited than anything. My daughter loves to sing and to perform, and a tour is going to give her band some good exposure.

Beyond Birthdays cartridge

09 February 2010

I found this page for cartridge beyond birthdays products - oops, I meant beyond birthdays cartridge, I think. I’m new to this, but a friend of mine has a cricut machine and it’s really cool. I want to start making scrapbooks for friends and family, and do a little every week, and at the end of the year I’ll have a really nice, highly personalized gift to give everybody at Christmas. When you have people on your Christmas list who can just go out and buy whatever they want, I want to give them a collection of memories that they can look back on in years to come.

I have been looking online and I think that I am going to need handmade card blanks. I hope I can buy these at the right price. Its important to be creative however due to my restricted budget I really must not go over the top.

Cellophane Card Bags were Faulty

17 January 2010

I was just finishing off a new batch of homemade greeting cards for a craft fair I will be attending in two days time. I always display my cards in cellophane card bags, it makes for a much more professional presentation plus when members of the public handle the cards, they don’t get grubby and dog eared. Just as I came to put my batch of cards into the bags I noticed that the bags were faulty and had a tear down one side. I checked through more of the bags and all of them were exactly the same. So I had to get in my car and do a twenty mile round trip to collect a replacement quantity from the craft store. I was lucky that they still had stock available!
