The Letter Will Do it Every Time
As a senior manager who does all of the hiring for my branch, I love it when a candidate sends thank you letters. Those candidates are always high on the list. While the letter itself will not get them hired, the letter combined with the right qualifications certainly will. I would rather choose a candidate that took the time to write a personalized letter thanking me for my time and consideration than one who did not. For me, the letters show that that person is considerate, has the right mind set to treat our customers the way they should be treated.
