Amazon And Apple – The Best Of Enemies
On the subject of the release of Apple’s new iPad, one of the more sensible reviews that I’ve read so far described Apple and Amazon as “the best of enemies” – a very succinct and accurate description in my opinion. There is, very definitely, a symbiotic relationship there. Amazon won’t be as upset as many imagine if, as a result of the appearance of the iPad the price of the amazon kindle has to be adjusted downwards. They will be happy to increase the potential market for selling books – especially Kindle books to iPad users who use the “Kindle app”. Likewise, Apple will be very pleased for Amazon to provide content to their iPad users.
