Enjoy a Greek Island Paradise with Corfu hotels

With stunning sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and delicious food, Corfu is many holidaymakers’ idea of perfection. Corfu is famous as the setting of Gerrard Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals, an autobiographical work in which the famous naturalist describes his what it was like to grow up in Corfu before the Second World War. Durrell’s Corfu with its ‘butterfly blue bays’ and the ‘silver green iridescence’ of its olive groves continues to capture the imaginations of British holidaymakers. Nowadays there are, of course, plenty of idyllic Corfu hotels for visitors to the island to choose from, such as the adults-only Aquis Agios Gordios, perched on a hillside swathed in pine trees and overlooking just the crystalline bays Durrell describes.
