Studying in the US

20th January 1661 issued by the Polish King John II. Casimir degree to which a Jesuit college was elevated to university. In Degree in 1758 confirmed the Polish king August III. Since its creation until 1773 the university was in the hands of the Jesuit order. It had two faculties – philosophical and theological. In 1667 they studied at about 500 students and 8 teachers teaching ensured when Studying in the US. In the mid-18th century it was already around 700 students and 15-17 teachers. 75% of university students were Poles. After the Jesuit order in 1773, the Lviv University canceled, but in October 1784 was issued a diploma, which the university is replacement level.
